Criw Cymraeg
We are the Criw Cymraeg of Pendoylan Church in Wales Primary School! We are from Blwyddyn 2 and 6 and we chose to join the Criw Cymraeg because we want to improve and support the use of Welsh in our school and community. We have successfully achieved out Bronze award in the Summer of 2024 and are now working on achieving our silver award this academic year.

Cymraeg Campus
The Criw Cymraeg play a vital role in leading the Cymraeg Campus. The aim of the Cymraeg Campus is to provide a clear framework, which can be used to promote and increase the use of Welsh by children in a whole school context. In a nutshell, the Cymraeg Campus’ main aim is to promote a strong Welsh ethos in our school and to provide a range of enriching activities that propel the children to enjoy learning Welsh. We are excited to be working at achieving our ‘Gwobr Efydd – Bronze Award’ for the Cymraeg Campus.
The Cymraeg Campus exhorts participation from every member of the school community, and members of the school workforce and council, the pupils and their parents, school governors and the wider community are all encouraged to take full ownership of it. The Criw Cymraeg (Welsh Crew) are instrumental in leading and driving the Cymraeg Campus forward at Pendoylan Primary.
Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards :
To ensure that all efforts are rewarded, the Cymraeg Campus is based on the principle that every school follows challenging but attainable targets in connection with promoting the use of the Welsh language. The specific targets included in the Cymraeg Campus can form part of a school’s Welsh Development Plan.
