Global Neighbours is an accreditation scheme which recognises and celebrates all that schools are doing to empower their young people to be active global citizens. It was developed by Christian Aid in partnership with the Church of England Education Office with the particular needs and aspirations of church schools in mind. However, the scheme is open to all schools in England, Wales and Scotland, regardless of faith affiliation.
In our school we are on task to achieving the Bronze Award.
What have we been doing?
This May we took part in Christian Aid’s 70K in May challenge! This involved running or walking around the school field every day in May to reach 70K. The children did fantastically well and we managed to raise an impressive £357 which will buy 70 mosquito nets!
