Pendoylan Eco-Committee

Last year, we achieved our Green Flag Level 2 so it’s onwards and upwards to Level 3.

We are delighted to have set up our new Eco Committee and are already full of ideas for the year. We have Eco Committee members ranging from Year 3 through to Year 6. We have already held our first of many Eco Meetings where we have discussed how we want our Eco Committee to run.

We are also currently working towards becoming a Deforestation Free Champion School with the ‘Size of Wales’.

ECO-CODE

In order to educate our pupils in sustainable and global issues we instil the following
messages through an eco-code displayed in every class.

E – Every piece of litter can be picked up.
C – Collect all your rubbish.
O – Organise it to help reduce, re-use, recycle.
C – Careful with taps, don’t leave them running.
O – Off is best for the lights when you are not around.
D – Don’t use anymore than what you need. Reduce your consumption.
E – Everybody can make a difference by following this code!
