Autumn Term 2025

Happy Healthy Me –Fi yn hapus ac yn iachus – Autumn Term 2025

Dear Parents/Carers,

This half term, our topic is “What Makes Us Happy?”

We will be supporting the children in learning how to keep both their bodies and minds healthy and happy. Through a variety of fun and engaging activities, they will explore what makes them smile, what they enjoy doing, and ways to take care of themselves.

The children will have the opportunity to get to know their teachers, make new friends, and settle into their new classroom. We will discuss our likes and dislikes, families and friends, and celebrate what makes each of us unique.

We will also encourage the children to share their thoughts and ideas, follow their interests, and discover the world around them through play and exploration.

We use Seesaw in our Nursery to document your child’s learning, giving you the opportunity to see and assess their progress. This helps create effective communication between teachers and parents.

You can:

  • View your child’s learning throughout the week.
  • Leave comments about your child’s work.
  • Share anything your child has done or places you have visited together.

If you experience any difficulties accessing Seesaw, please let us know, and we will be happy to help.

We look forward to seeing your comments and contributions!

Our PE lesson will take place on Thursday mornings. Please ensure your child comes to school dressed in their PE kit, which includes:

  • Navy shorts or trousers
  • White polo shirt
  • Trainers

All items should be clearly labelled with your child’s name to prevent them from being misplaced. There is no need to bring school uniform on Thursdays.

To help with the cost of running the Nursery, we do ask for a voluntary contribution of £2.50 per week to help towards the cost of the snack, cooking activities and other resources that we provide. The amount is £ 20.00. Please could you NOT pay for this on PARENT PAY. Please could you put cash in an envelope with your child’s name on it.

If your child has any allergies, that you haven’t already informed us about, please do let us know.

In nursery we encourage the children to learn in the outdoor environment. So, please can you ensure that your child has a warm, washable outdoor coat!

Please could you also ensure your child has spare clothing in their bag (labelled). If your child is changed in nursery we will put the dirty clothes in their bag, in a bag, if your child has any toileting issues, please let us know so we are able to support your child.

If you have any concerns or questions, please do feel free to pop in to see me at school or send a message. Also, if you still have any outstanding forms, please could you bring these in as soon as possible.

If your child is unwell or will not be attending school, please could you ring the office to let them know.

Best Wishes

Nursery Team
